Detroit, Motown

Today started out very early, like 1:30 am to the sound of tornado sirens.  Yes, tornado sirens.
Hear we go again.  When Vince and I started on our full time adventure our first year we spent
time in campground bathrooms with other couples or fleeing in the opposite direction of an oncoming tornado.  So, I jump out of bed, dressed quickly and grab a few things and headed to the nearest shower room with others to wait out the storm.   Finally, 3:00 am the tornado warning and most of the sirens stop and I returned to my RV.  Now mind you the water is about 6 inches deep in places mostly by everyone's RV steps.  I take my shoes off to walk the walk.   I get back into my dry bed but wouldn't you know now I can not really sleep as my weather radio keeps going off to warn me that rain is heavy in most ares.  No, I did not turn it off.  I did finally fall asleep around 4 am just to
get up at 6 am to be ready to roll at 7:45.

Our trip today consisted of being motor coached to the Ford Rouge Factory, Coney Island Hot Dog restaurant for lunch then to the famous Motown Historical Museum.  Then a tour of downtown Detroit and the General Motors corporate building.    A long but very interesting and fun day.
